This park is home to many different bird species, including Carolina wrens, northern mockingbirds, and chipping sparrows. There are also a few wooded areas that attract orioles during migration season. These woods are also home to northern cardinals, northern flickers, white-breasted nuthatch, and white-throated sparrows.
The shoreline along Lake Anna Plaza is a good place to watch for gulls. You can also watch for red-breasted mergansers.
The Colonial National Historical Park is home to many species of breeding birds. One of the most impressive sites is the Crow’s Nest, where bald eagles nest. It also contains a salt marsh, fresh marsh, and woodlands. A great post!

North Anna Nuclear Generating Station
Located in Louisa County, Virginia, the North Anna Nuclear Generating Station is operated by Dominion Generation. The site is situated near major population centers in Central Virginia. The station distributes power to the greater Richmond area. The station has two Westinghouse pressurized water reactors from 1978. The facility produces 1.79 gigawatts of electricity.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is planning to hold a public hearing on February 17, 2005, at the North Anna Nuclear Generating Station in Louisa County, Virginia. The NRC is reviewing a proposed license renewal.
